Arafura Rare Earths (ASX: ARU) is an Australian rare-earths developer building the Nolans Project, 135km north of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory β intended to be Australia's first fully integrated ore-to-oxide rare-earths operation.
Largest shareholder is Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd (Gina Rinehart), holding 17.5% as of Sep 2026 after a series of placements (from ~10% in 2025); no other substantial holder currently disclosed. GLEIF LEI 52990098Y7ZDAOS75K52 reports no direct/ultimate corporate parent on file. Independently ASX-listed (ARU.AX) with no single controlling shareholder.
Named counterparties identified by open-source research and written only where a primary source states the relationship β never inferred from sector or co-mention. 1 customer-side. This is a partial view: it covers the relationships we could evidence, not the company's full supply base.
Arafura ASX announcement: five-year NdPr offtake with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S, contract volumes of NdPr metal 200 tpa commencing 2026, 360 tpa in year two and 400 tpa in years three to five, binding subject to conditions precedent (German UFK untied loan guarantee eligibility, completion of construction, commercial production) by no later than 30 September 2026. Nolans is in the Northern Territory, Australia; the NdPr is for magnets in turbines assembled at Siemens Gamesa's Cuxhaven, Germany facility. A not-yet-started offtake is not a purchase, so the route is recorded without a destination until deliveries begin. The earlier 520 t/y figure (secondary press) is not in the announcement and was dropped with its share_pct.
Scope. Absence of a counterparty here is not evidence that none exists β most commercial sourcing is confidential and never becomes public. Rows without a share figure mean no share was disclosed, not that the relationship is small.
Another tracked dossier names this company as a counterparty in its own sourced disclosure β this platform never wrote these rows on this company's own page, they are read here inverted from the dossier that disclosed them. This is a partial view: 982 additional named-counterparty rows across the corpus could not be matched to a tracked dossier by name at all (mostly non-Latin legal names), so the true count is higher than what renders here.
NdPr offtake from Arafura's Nolans Project (Central Australia): 200tpa from 2026, rising to 400tpa in years 3-5, for permanent magnets assembled at Siemens Gamesa's Cuxhaven facility. Share of Siemens Gamesa's total NdPr demand not stated.
Scope. This section is inverted evidence: each linked dossier wrote the original row about itself, describing its own relationship to this company. It is never a claim this company itself disclosed. Absence here is not evidence of no relationship β most of the corpus has no named-counterparty block at all yet.
This company sits on the supply side for 5 of its 5 materials β a restriction on those is a tailwind, not a headwind.
Dossier discloses a dysprosium, terbium or samarium material exposure directly β A61 Β§1(2) names Dy/Tb-containing NdFeB and SmCo magnets by element.
A61's suspension (Announcement 70) lapses 10 Nov 2026 β on the plain text, controls revive automatically. The US DoD CN/RU/IR/KP sourcing bar follows 1 Jan 2027. See the underlying extraterritorial export-control action. We supply the provenance file; we never compute your ratio for you.
As a producer, policy pressure across its produced materials is rising.
Descriptive trend in official policy actions on this companyβs materials β a policy-pressure trend, not a price or trading signal. No forward probability is implied. Direction is measured on actions we have discovered, and discovery lags events: where the recent window is too thin to support a calm reading, the row says coverage-limited instead of easing.
π¦πΊ AU accounts for 100% of severity-weighted pressure.
